Quality health care is vital to the well-being of you and your family. The medical coverage offered by Arcadia Solutions provides you with two comprehensive plan offerings through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS):
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan: Features a nationwide network with a copay and annual deductible for services received in-network.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP): A consumer driven health plan that gives you more control over how you spend your healthcare dollars by providing a comprehensive, high deductible health plan along with a health savings account. The company provides contributions to the HSA in each pay period & you may elect to contribute as well to create a savings plan to fund your deductible and other healthcare costs.
Plan is Harvard Pilgrim, partnered with United Healthcare allowing us in Pittsburgh more choice than AHN vs UPMC when choosing a provider. Both High-Deductible and Premium plans offered, both PPO.
They seem to be fairly standard offerings; nothing particularly amazing.
Arcadia offers 2 health plans, one of which is a high deductible plan, so yes if you are on a family plan and are going to need to go to the doctor a lot, this plan may not be the right option for you and your family. Instead I would recommend you sign up for the other PPO plan which has a much lower deductible associated with it. Employees are always welcome to come and see Human Resources with any questions they might have on our benefit plans.
Didn't use it, too expensive for a family
It has paid a considerable amount of any thing I have needed. Much better than lots of other insurance I have had.
