Nice benefits and Great environment!!!
Industry-bottom PTO policy (15 days including sickness, takes 10 years to work up to 25), negligible 401k matching.
Benefits seem fairly standard however 401K is lacking significantly in investment from the company
The base employee health insurance coverage is zero-cost.
Best is the extremely high level of comprehensive health coverage @ low cost; also excellent supplemental health benefits (counseling)
dental, vision, health for interns too so that's cool
No paid sick leave. 401k match is disappointing
Overall, good health insurance and decent 401k plan - only minor issue is the employer match is discretionary each year. That means that the parent company NCSoft will determine how much to match based at the end of the year - no way to know what the exact match % is on the outset. However, the match in recent years has been competitive with other tech companies and game studios. PTO starts at 15 days per year. Additionally, the studio closes from Christmas through New Years and is paid for salaried employees (I'm not sure for hourly). Yearly employee profit sharing is by far the best benefit, but requires the employee be vested. The time to vest has varied over the years, but the recruiter should be able to tell you a date for first eligibility and percentage. Be sure to ask as this is one of their most touted perks during the hiring process. Parking isn't free - the building management charges around $50 per month. No assistance for bus commuters. Social events and parties are fantastic. Holiday party and company picnic are always incredible!
It might be better now, but during GW2 development, there were a lot of contract employees, and benefits for contract employees was not very comprehensive compared to full-time employees.
The health benefits are great, as they give flexible types of coverage and all of them are solid. You can even include family members. Also provides 401k via NCSOFT
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
