I can use vacation anytime I want. And also have some national holiday.
Good vacation. 1.25 days per month, one floating holiday. However, if you work hard, you may find that you never have the opportunity to use them. As a post-doc, life is work, at least for me.
Can earn after three months.
Very generous and usually very little problem in taking the time you have coming. The lab is closed during Christmas vacation.
Lots of different PTO (e.g. bereavement leave and incidental leave). Vacation days used to be much more generous under the old plan (2 days/month) -- for a new hire, it would not be competitive. Sick leave for yourself and to take care of family is very generous.
Generous accrual rate for staff.
You can use 2 consecutive days off for sick day without doctor's letter. They'll give you 33 days after an year but before that, you might get payment cut if any crap happens to you.
15 days plus one floating holiday. 10 other holidays. Vacations roll over up to 30 days, and you get paid out for unused vacation.
Sick leave policy could be better. No paid parental leave for unionized employees.
