Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

No benefits until after 6 months with the company and on contract with a client.
Benefits don't kick in right away, but once they do they're pretty good! Aston is really good about making sure that you're getting compensated fairly and all of your work travel needs are completely taken cared of.
Food and travel stipends when on project.
You don’t receive benefits until 6 months at the least. I didn’t “qualify” after my 6 months because I hadn’t been contracted out, I was working on location.
A lot of nice things in the office.
they have no benefits for the first year that you are in the field
