The 401k match is nice. Match first 3 $ for $ and next 3 at $0.50 for the 1.00
Astoria Bank has great benefits , including retirement potential with matching contributions. There is paid time off for vacation, sick and personal reasons. They have family medical Act leave and EAP for employees to use. They give matching charitable gifts and offer healthy living rewards. A good company for benefits and an excellent HR department.
Good benefits, but it varies based on you Title. AVP and lower do not get benefits until after 90 days. AVP higher given unlimited sick and or personal leave. VP level compensation can include individual performance and company performance based bonus ($0 in a bad year 20% of salary in a good year), as well as stock options.
Excellent 401k plan! Pretty good health and dental benefits, as well. Generous with vacation/sick/personal days... 3 weeks vacation upon completion of 5 years of service.
401k plan has a nice company match up to a certain percent. Decent paid time off, including holidays and personal/sick days.
The benefits package at Astoria is pretty standard. Insurance package is flexible and moderately priced. The dental insurance is not the best but I've had worst. From what I have observed with coworkers who have used the benefits for maternity leave it is really not very good. The percentage covered is not enough to support yourself. The company is very lenient with time off and schedule changes due to any type of family specific matters. They are very family oriented.
The worst thing is paid vacation is only two weeks for non-officer level
At Astoria Bank we had great benefits. There was medical, Dental, optical, short, and long term disability, and stock option.
only 401k for part timers
The company just recently started providing additional vacation time for a longer tenure with the company but is currently merging with NYCB, so the actual benefits after the merger are uncertain.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
