Not long enough but they give you the option to work part time after completion of the 2.5 months.
Mothers get 6 or 8 weeks medical leave depending on type of delivery. Additional 4 weeks of Paid Family Bonding Leave can be taken by any parent as an extension of leave or at a separate time within the first year after child is born. You may also extend leave to 6 months unpaid with your job held, or up to one year unpaid with a similar position promised. Only complaint is it's very complicated to manage leave through a third party company, and details/timelines/requirements are not clear. The process seems disorganized since AZ doesn't appear to manage their own benefits but rather have several different companies manage pieces of the benefits package for them. May be good for AZ's bottom line, but not great for the employee.

Absence seems very generous compared with other companies. I did not use this, but those who did got 6 weeks plus could extend to 6 months.
Am aware of the maternity and parental leave which provides a generous amount of leave even.

I was able to take 6 months off for each of my pregnancies.
Excellent paternity and maternity leave, in par with that offered by most companies in this field. I am very thankful for that.
