    The actual AMOUNT of PTO is VERY GOOD for a NORTH AMERICA employer - however it is only like this due to being a Global Company and the Europeans get much more PTO due to their laws. Not fairly distributed globally. On the flip side, PTO is barring client needs and NOT GUARANTEED as able to be taken. I have observed myself and other managers year over year forfeiting 1, 2 3 weeks of their PTO because it was not feasible given the client needs and excessive amount of management required to maintain quality on off-shore work forces (work absolutely comes to a halt when Management is literally not there to drive it, as does Quality, as does any form of add-on sales). Presence is everything when managing off shore resources. Likewise when MY RESOURCES utilize their PTO to full extent it burdens the entire rest of the team. There is a bad cause and effect with PTO that you must both fontload your work before leaving and then climb out of the backlog once you return. Its more like FLEXIBLE schedule on the PTO past 2 weeks if you take off, you pay for it one way or another. I would rather have a higher salary and less PTO really. For my position it would make a lot more sense.

    Basic holidays are covered; new employees given 120 hours of combined PTO (covers all non-holiday usage). Company just restructured PTO policy, taking 1-3 weeks away from existIng staff who had been with the company 5-25 years.

    The overall PTO and Vacation time is excellent. Atos does a great job ensuring that their employees have a work and life balance.

    I do really like the way they do PTO here. You receive it all up-front at the beginning of the year (pro-rated if you're hired on part-way into the year). Very convenient to not have to "earn" your PTO.
