“Its an unmanaged 403b , you probably better off just doing your own Roth IRA, they don't care about people hanging around long term, which is why the hospital has been bought and sold twice in 10 years.”

“They have taken away EIB (emergency illness and bereavement) hours that were originally part of your PTO, They came up with the idea that they were going to put aside part of your PTO hours and convert them to EIB hours , so you would always have time saved for when you got sick. So now they just up and decided , we are not doing that anymore, but did not give the hours back to your PTO, You just get less PTO every pay period since they got rid of you portion of EIB they split off.”
Good benefits, excellent PTO and paid holidays
Physicians are provided with 401k, 457B and 403a. You can either pick a high deductible HSA plan or copay plan. We don’t get PTO. Your years of working determine how many weeks off that you will get.
Copay plan offered which is a nice alternative to strictly deductible or coinsurance based.
Good company to work for

Benefits for ongoing education are limited compared to other companies
To call what you get for insurance is slap in the face. You are forced to use mail in pharmacy the own for everything you take more than a month. Carolina Care Pharmacy (the mail order pharmacy you have to use) is staffed by people that are uncaring and just want to get you off the phone and out of their hair. The health insurance makes you go to an Atrium Facility for health care, or pay 80% out of pocket. Well if you travel or go anywhere outside of 30 miles and have a medical emergency you are screwed. This is Secure Health insurance and it is owned.backed by the hospital only. I've never went outside my home town and had anybody accept or even heard of Secure health. Its a scam to call it health insurance when its not accepted by anyone but Atrium. The retirement is just an unmanaged 403b, similar to a 401k that you only have the option to pick ETF bundles. NOT A MANAGED FUND, BUT STILL CHARGE FEES. THE WORST IS THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING IN THE DECKS OR FIGHT OVER THE DOZEN OR SO PARKING SPOTS, BLOCKS AWAY. The hospital is bordered by the jail and project houses a block over, so not the safest place to walk at night or day.
