You can hire on as uncertified, but have to be certified within 120 days of completing your CNA clinical. You get a $1/hr raise once you are certified.
Very high premiums and deductibles for healthcare and dental coverage
Health benefits are decent, easy to sign up. Like anyone else I wish it was a little cheaper but it is not bad.
The Management at Avalon is something I have never seen before. There are never enough employees, always running out of supplies. Very rude nursing staff. No maintenance crew.
Short staff of CNA, wants people to stay overtime mandatory pool. Not enough vital equipments to do vitals, use wash cloth to use as wipes, nurses look frustrated. You hear other aides complaints about not wanting to work. They should hire caregivers who want to work the job. Let workersgets days they want off so they wouldn't quit for school or personal reasons.
Expensive benefits. poor 1st year of PTO/Sick time
they just hand you packet and give very little verbal direction as to what you are entitled too. for a brand new employee new to the workforce and compared to the company i work with now I had no i idea what to do with all the information.
The life insurance is reasonably priced. The health insurance is Regence Blue Cross; the premiums are high but comparable to other companies. I pay $324 a month for a family of 4.
The Health Insurance was expensive and most staff can not afford the coverage. . There is NO 401k match it is all 100% employee funded. The PTO is factor is only average.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
