Great plans available for Health Insurance and Dental Insurance for individual or the family. Paid time off as well as sick days are also good enough.

They give 20 sick days which people are going to use. This causes a huge problem for managers in trying to plan staffing and making volume forecasts. It is the most I have ever seen and the employees are taking advantage of it.

The benefits package is quite good. The company offers a $2000 benefit to promote work life balance and/or tech gadget budget.

Company perks surrounding training and development goals are outstanding. For young people or those without children, the high deductible health insurance combined with the health savings account is also a nice perk as you can invest the HSA money in equity funds.

Time off is encouraged during bench time. If your on a project very hard to take off. The 401k is the same as any where else, they offer pre-tax spending accounts, I really feel they are very similar to any other consulting organization.

Avanade offers a really good extended benefits package which is great to buy technology to keep pace with the market.

Best - Extended benefits - $2k for tech, education, travel, or exercise expenses. Worst - Observance of holidays and schedule in general. In the US, hardly any federal holidays are observed. I frequently find myself working from home because my client's office is closed on a federal/bank holiday but Avanade is still open. 8 total holidays a year. And if you are of a religious faith celebrating holidays other than christmas, you pretty much have to use PTO for that.

Very good benefits package. They were the Premera Blue package. I was able to find a lot of doctors in my area. My existing doctor took the coverage with no issues. The co-pay was very reasonable in todays market. I am married with three kids and they made it very easy to sign up and get everyone on board. The online system was easy to use and understand. Best part of working at Avanade.

Health insurance premium rates are very good. Lower than most.
