1-week paternity. It's more than others but still, maybe allow work from home for another week or 2.
health insurance and matching 4% of your 401k contributions. It's average benefits.
AvePoint's benefits are pretty competitive in comparison with other companies. They offer 401(k) options, unlimited paid time off, work from home, medical/dental/vision, etc. - and these are all major benefits that people look to have. The one thing that they could look into in making better is providing more $$ toward an employee's medical/dental/vision insurance. The structured plan that AvePoint is on is great because they do give some money to go toward an employee's monthly benefits. However, the employee still has to pay a nice amount per month for it.
Best: Additional days off: Floating holidays, Yay days (form moving), birthday off, etc. Worst: Cigna
The HR department is horrible. They don't support commuter benefits anymore. Health insurance is bare minimum but ok vacation policy.
Benefits will slightly improve in 2017. For now, you start off with 15 PTO which includes vacation, sick, and personal days but the potential to earn more is small. You're eligible for health insurance after 90 days which I think is normal, but the plans are not the best. There is some 401k matching. Work from home policy also not great.
For interns it is a best place to start work and get IT industry experience.
