Benefits are sub-par for a tech Co trying to retain top talent
Benefits are currently Cigna with all plans having a $500 and up deductible. The biggest surprise was the spouse tax. If you want your spouse covered, the is a cost schedule, and then there is an additional $100 per month charge if they can get benefits elsewhere! Not a big plus. Publish one cost, then sneak in a $1200 per year increase on the cost?
When I first started we had Blue Cross/Build Shield of MA, it was an outstanding insurance. Now we have Cigna and it is awful. The Health Insurance has been reduced every year little by little.
Good competitive benefits package
The health insurance benefits offered by the company have been steadily declining over the years, but it does vary by employee location.
Cigna is the health insurance provider. Often it was difficult to get things covered by the doctor that was wanted. Often other hassles with them.
After moving to a different company I discovered I was paying $600 a month MORE at Avid for a worse benefits package. Multiply that times 12 months times 10 years....Avid stole $72000 from me.
