Dental and Vision are really cheap and great providers
Some real number for health insurance premium here: Approximately $1200 per month for family plan, $600 per month for employee and kids only. $2000 deductible health insurance plan. Cheap for single employee, expensive for family. Most of employee buy insurance for kids from company plan, but buy insurance from market place for spouse. But if you are single, the insurance is cheap, it's around $50 per pay check.
The PTO is a pretty sweet deal. 15 days, plus your birthday, and about 7 holidays including Christmas and Christmas Eve.
No salary increases, Sick time and vacation time come from same bank of PTO.
The family insurance could be more affordable, and there is a wait time on the 401k plan.
Health insurance premium for a family is high
Yes, this company offer benefits (which is why a 2-star rating was given), but that is all. There is no employer contribution at all. Your benefit plan is 100% paid for by the employee. Because of my start date, I had to wait nearly 2 months before my healthcare benefits were active. Currently, the only contribution financially to your personal benefit plan is the life insurance policy provided to each employee and its barely enough to cover the fees for a funeral if something was to happen. Also, sick time and pto are combined for a total of 15 days (this was not outlined prior to starting). My error in not asking more. I made the assumption it was 15 days pto then the traditional 6 sick days as most companies offer. Also, be prepared to only have off the standard major holidays - no banking or other recognized national days here. Other items offered: 401K (eligible at 6 months- with a 4 year vest), free gym onsite (but no offsite gym support), there is a discount perks program (which is cool), free snacks and drinks, onsite café downstairs and free lunches on Monday (even though the selections appear to be repetitive). Even though these perks are offered, unless you have no other options, I would not use their benefit options. After doing some research, I located more affordable plans on the open market.
The health insurance isn't terrible, but it's definitely below average. When I left the organization they had acknowledged this more-or-less and were looking at improving it.
Worst health insurance plan for dependents. You will end up paying $300 per pay check for a below average plan. 401k only after 6 months. 15 days PRO. But the
The best thing is that it is offered through BCBS. The worst thing is I DON'T WANT TO PAY SO MUCH. with love.
