You work when you want to work, but you will never get more than 40 if you are a server
Bj's uses hotschedules in which an employee can alter their schedule and pick up or release shifts as needed.
Same as any restaurant, they work with school schedules and childcare schedules and whatever.
Time off requested with appropriate notice is almost always granted. Management tends to keep employee hours restricted to meet sales projections and profit margins. While this makes good business sense, it's difficult if you arrive for a shift hoping to work 4-5 hours and are finished and told to clock off after only working two hours. It's not possible to expect any minimum on hours or shifts.
Very lenient on giving days off that are needed. Must be mindful of busy seasons and holidays though.
BJ'S is extremely flexible.
They really work with you on your hours. If you have school they understand that's a priority.
