the worst things about sick days is that i never want to miss a day of work because i love what i am about to do
i dont call out sick.. practically ever. so i have more hours than i even need. i wish we could get paid out for what we dont use though.
you dont get them. management wanted you there sick, dead, alive or whatever. place is a terrible place to work and they are always understaffed.
basic sick day PTO policy for all employees. would get about a day added a month and can use PTO only in the event of an emergancy
i liked the sick days they just give them to you sometimes its nice
They are fine, you get to accrue a certain percentage each hour you work
Only given minimum required by state law. Now there is a "earn as you go" policy and we can not borrow. So if you are sick the first 2 months of the year, you're screwed.
It's fair it's earned based on weeks worked
You get 6 sick days per year. But even if you have, say, 30 sick days accumulated, if you get sick, only the first 5 or 6 days (I don't remember which) can come from your sick days. Then you go on short-term disability, administered by Liberty Mutual, with limited benefits. And, they can turn you down altogether, saying you're not really sick and choose not to pay benefits. Yes, I know someone who was turned down, despite her doctor's requirements. And, yup, if your doctor says you can't return to work, even if Liberty Mutual says they turn down your claim and you're not getting paid, you can't return to work. Talk about a rock and a hard place.
Standard sick time. General disbelief by managers when people took time off to be sick.
