BJC offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits program that includes a dedicated focus on the health and well-being of employees and their family members. These include programs and services to support and strengthen your physical health, such as medical and pharmacy coverage, dental and vision coverage, and also numerous well-being programs.
Employees’ financial health, including retirement, is also important. Through our close partnership with Vanguard and Mercer, BJC offers a pension plan or 403(b) plan, plus a 401(k) retirement plan with numerous investment options.
Our employees can also take advantage of BJC’s tuition assistance program from day one, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), disability and life insurance, plus many other benefits and services – even entertainment and retail discounts.
BJC encourages all employees to explore the Benefits section and the entire Total Rewards website, to fully understand the value of BJC Total Rewards. If you are new to BJC, be sure to visit the New Employees page.
Nothing to say at this time
Best - very comprehensive. Worst - expensive
BJC has a comprehensive benefits package and is one of the few organizations that still offers a funded retirement plan.
Great benefits package including tuition reimbursement
BJC doesn't offer a pension anymore, but does offer a 401K Plan. I was able to easily add my wife as a dependent after we got married without issue.
Benefits were not that great...
Pension program fully vested after 5 years. Not offered at most companies any longer, so this is a great perk.
Pension plan, FMLA, PTO, and good insurance. There is also a tuition reimbursement program and opportunities to further your education.
BJC has poor benefits offers to fellows, most likely because they only stay not at BJC healthcare system for a couple of years.
The Cigna insurance is awful. You would expect better from a major hospital system.
