Matching 401k and Pension.
Wonderful Benefits, 401k after 1 year, great pay. Very easy to retire very well off.
the claims you have they will try to deny them at all cost so just be cautious and do everything by the book.
best - company 401K match, pension, discount on select services and purchases including cars and mobile phones
RR retirement is good. 401k matching is standard. There is a pension. no stock options at all anymore.
Offers a pension plan, unlike many other companies
Railroad Retirement instead of Social Security, Company Pension, 401K Matching, Generous Leave and Sick Time Policy and an Absolutely Unmatched Military Leave Policy- the benefits are hard to match, I have yet to find better.
Best thing is the overall retirement package. The 401(k) match is decent and the funds available through Vanguard are good. Railroad Retirement instead of Social Security, so you sock away a bit more money each pay check to be collected upon retirement. Finally, the company pension which is defined benefit. Worst things are outdated vacation policy (starts with two weeks for the first five years) and the high deductible health plan, which costs very little per paycheck but has very high deductibles. Fine if you are healthy or have an acute injury/illness, awful if you have a chronic condition because you'll end up paying that deductible for several years.
best is the tuition reimbursement. they pay 100% which is rare to see from even larger companies. The health insurance is okay, not great though
The health insurance was good. It was a decent price for a whole family. Time off could have been better need to work for more then 6 months per year to get vacation. If you are laid off will not get vacation
