Interns have access to health plans, but since internships are fairly short, health and dental plans don't make much sense. Interns have no time off or other significant benefits.
They were recently forced to take away the pension by Berkshire Hathaway oversight, which was the biggest benefit it had going for it. Now there isn’t anything compelling for employees.

Worst thing is you have to contribute to railroad retirement which means an extra 4% gets taken out of your paycheck to go into something you have no control over. Still great benefits other than that.

The health insurance is cheap compared to many other companies and the 401k now has added contributions from the company. The negatives though are low pay for the amount of work and improvement to old processes. The vacation is terrible, it is split between sick and vacation. You are scrutinized if you take all your sick days, which do not roll over to the next year.
401k is not competitive, insurance is steadily rising, vacation days take 8 years before gaining another day off.
