BP's retirement "scheme" (as the Brits call these things) is great: Not only does it offer a good, modern-day pension plan (with no employee contribution and outstanding appreciation), it offers a standard 401K plan that involves a company match. Few companies outside of the energy and pharmaceutical industries offer pensions AND 401K plans. Good to know some companies still feel a sense of obligation to their employees!

Nothing bad at all considering that many companies no longer even offer a pension plan.
