The benefits are really comprehensive - and quite generous in available leave. Vacation policy increased for US employees - based on years of service. Fresh grads get 3 weeks and for experienced hires - its based on years of employment I believe. The 401k is fantastic - offers after-tax, pre-tax, and Roth contributions - and even allows for in-plan transfers - and the 7% match. Pension is good as well - with no contribution from the employee - there is a required vesting period I think for the pension though - but its at least 4% of pay to the 1/4 of SS cap, then 7% thereafter for those under 10 years of vested service, longer service increases to 5%/9% (or reaching age 40) - and finally 20 or more years or age 50 is 6%/11%. Health plan options are decent - Aetna PPO HSA plan is the way to go for a family - as bp would contribute a max of $2k after certain wellness plan goals are met. The max out of pocket for that is $6k with an 20% co-insurance until deductible is met (Cost was about $176/month in 2020). There is also a lower deductible PPO w/ Aetna and an HMO through BCBS IL Dental Plan is quite affordable ($33/month family) and unique in that it allows for 3 cleanings per year. Through Cigna Vision is through VSP - I think it was about $20/month family) Life insurance coverage free w/ 2x's base pay. Very generous Maternity and Paternity leave - I think it was at least 4 weeks for Paternity as of 2020- and paid Maternity Leave increased that year as well. Adoption/Fertility assistance is available as part of the health plan bundle I believe Legal Plan is a good thing to consider - about $20/month I think. Pet insurance available Our office had a gym subsidy- but that is dependent on funding per year.
