Work with top 3 consulting firm more conceptually wise
Best things - Excellent insurance coverage and generous 401K contribution (Bain contributes regardless of whether you put in a single dollar -- even better than a match) Worst thing - PTO is on the low side. Also, company policy frowns upon taking >1 week off at a time, which can be frustrating.
Health insurance was a great benefit! They do not allow certain support staff roles the opportunity to work from home. If it wasn't "dangerous" for us to get into work we could not work from home during snow storms.
Bain & Co. really takes care of its people. The benefits are fantastic - better than I've see anywhere else.
great vacation, health insurance and lots of additional soft benefits
Benefits package is very competitive
Good healthcare coverage, relatively affordable (though not nearly as good as McKinsey)
Just had a baby and virtually everything was paid for by the company's insurance. Two months of full paid paternity leave. Not as competitive in insurance and retirement benefit as the top competitor, but pretty close. Flexible working locations and sometimes lets us work from home, business permitting. The profit sharing to consultants and analysts recently is an amazing bump in salary if you stay for the retention period.
Incredible maternity leave and ability to flex up and down
Great insurance plan (dental / vision too) Good 401k
