no sick days, subtracted from PTO
When we had my daughter, we paid almost nothing through the whole pregancy and birth.
Long for the days before the HRA--current cover is poor but I'm glad to have what we do---as far as it goes. Otherwise the benefits are pretty good. Dental and eye cover are good, paid time off for long-time employees is excellent, good working conditions, great colleagues, discounts on books and entertainment products.
Baker & Taylor offered the standard packages, but unlike other employers, they made it very difficult to use your so-called yearly vacation time before it fully accrued. Health insurance was mediocre and either plan was more costly that I was used to.
The best company perk to me is the discount on entertainment products. Everything else was just standard.
United Healthcare- worst provider ever
Newer employees (last 2 years) have no choices in health plans only high deductible plan. Other employees ate grandfathered into their PPOs that are listed in benifit package but not actually able to have.
for full time you get pto, paid vacation, bonus's at end of the year, discounts on products, matching 401 k for part time you get bonus's for as fast as you work, for instance an average check for me for working 50 hours in 2 weeks is about 360 dollars however if i meet quota and incentives i can make up to 430 dollars for the 50 hours, plus i have the choice to work as much as i want even though i am considered part time, on top of that part time employees are even eligable for matching 401 k, however we dont have pto, nor do we have paid vacations but we do have a deiscount on all merchandise.
Decent medical insurance. Subpar vacation and paid time off policy.
