Good program with ladder if increasing PTO earnings rate based on year of service. Eligible to use as soon as you earn it.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Director of Nursing in Mesa, Arizona

Banner gives tons of PTO. Best benefit if you ask me. But it's hard for night shift staff to use because PTO only covers their base pay and not their differentials, so they tend to not want to use their PTO as it cost them money to take a vacation.

I have had much better vacation and paid time off before in different hospital jobs, but again this was before the economy changed.

  • Feb 09, 2019

Pretty generous PTO Package about 5 weeks can be earned during first year of employment.

You only accrue about 4 hours a month. You will get written up if you get sick without enough accrued hours to cover it. All sick time should be given January first.

Like others, Banner has converted to 'unlimited' for higher leader positions
