Some pieces are good, but medical short term disability is expensive

Health insurance is high compared to other companies of this size. 403b match calculates to around 1.5%. Starting PTO sounds competitive until you realize the 6.77 hours / pay period you receive covers all vacation and sick time in addition to all company holidays and any Hurricane days are also deducted from your PTO balance. After all the deductions, you'll end up with a total of 13 days available for sick/vacation time. The first 3 months I worked there, I had a negative balance lol.

The best thing that the benefits package offers is free vision care. Also they offer very cheap dental plans. But it is a little on the expensive side.

Good health insurance benefits and PTO accrued biweekly.

Benefits are pretty good overall. The only negative is that you would get "dinged" for not using Baptist providers.

Great benefits in comparison for the area. Must use Baptist facility for the benefits. If it is not a service offered at Baptist you will be paying a ton more, far less coverage if not done at Baptist facility.

Only get 6.77 hours PTO per pay period for the first 5 years, then it goes to 7.63 from 5-10 years and then 8.02 from years 10 and on. Required to work holidays, 3 major and 3 minor but not paid holiday pay for them. The benefits were okay I guess, but my husband's were better with his employer cheaper and better coverage, so I used his benefits instead. You can only use Baptist physicians under their insurance plan. You have to file for FMLA to take maternity leave and use all of your hard to earn PTO hours. Short term and long term disability will pay either 50 or 60% of your pay.

Best = benefits are pretty good Worst = you can only use them at Baptist in order to get the best rates.

Horrible insurance!! My yearly premiums were over $4000 for my family to be on my insurance, and they won't cover my husband's type of cancer or his treatment when he was diagnosed!!! Appalling!! Despicable!! Shameful!! They periodically seek to change to an even worse plan and screw their employees over even more! Pitiful.
