Great 401k match. Great medical, dental and vision benefits, however a little pricey but when coming from your paycheck it is hardly noticeable.
They are ok. They need to update big time to remain competitive and bring themselves into the modern era. There is little respect for family duties here. Traditional benefits like health, dental, and vision are solid with good coverage. The problem exists getting coverage outside of MA as many providers do not take Barton's insurance, especially eye. 401k is low with only matching 2% of your salary. You can get other random benefits like stock appreciation rights (when the company doesn't give a bonus but know you want to leave). Vesting periods are quite long (about 4 to 5 years). Vacation is at 3 weeks but subject to approval of a manager. Good luck getting that and good luck trying to get more than a few days off. Also, if you do take time off be ready for the repercussions.
Benefits leave something to be desired, but overall I think the company makes up for it.
BCBS Plan but with a high deducible and outrageous prices for the little money you will actually make working at Barton
Traditional benefits: It doesn’t exist
Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays/Snow Days
Great 401k matching and benefits
The best thing is the competitive starting pay and also having Dental, Vision and Health insurance available. I would highly recommend working for this company.
I have no cons for the benefits package. The best thing is they offer a Roth account as part of the 401K package.
401K is 2% of the first 4%
