Not sure why someone says the PTO is good. It starts with 22 days that include 6 days mandatory public holidays, sick and vacation time.

The PTO accrues biweekly and we get a decent amount. Especially if you've been here for a while you get a lot.

Worst I have ever seen. For example. Aramark gave 2 full week vacation and 2 full weeks sick time to a one year employ. Baylor Scott and White gives no sick time ( all sick time is unexcused absence even with a doctors note and three unexcused in one year receives a disciplinary write up) and two full weeks vacation plus 6 days. The 6 days are REQUIRED to be used to cover company holidays. No exceptions.

    starts on the first day

Sick, vacation and holiday are all combined together. You accumulate pto hours according to the # of years your with the organization.

Your paid time off and vacation time are one in the same. They are not separate. Your sick time is also part of this.

All online just email your employer and tell them the dates. All pto requests get input into the computer by you instead of your employer which gives more power to the employee instead of the employer

  • Sep 03, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Current Business Systems Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Forced to use PTO for holidays. Sick days are not separate from PTO. However, accrual of PTO is fair based on years of service.

It all comes in one bucket. So your vacation time is also you holiday or sick time as well.
