The benefits package is average for a NC SMB. There is a degree of flexibility in the benefits offering and management is generally compassionate and understanding about special circumstances, which are both huge pluses at any workplace.
Compared to other companies that I have worked for, Bellomy's benefits are not up to par. No paid maternity leave at all, you have to save up vacation and sick time if you want to have kids. Ridiculously expensive out of pocket medical costs (roughly $200/month as a single filer). 401k program has no guaranteed match or profit sharing.
Very expensive health insurance with poor coverage. No 401k matching. You have to pay for your own disability insurance. Very minimal life insurance which you have to pay for.
Bellomy outgrew its Simple IRA plan so they cancelled that. Then the 401k replacement has no guaranteed match.
The worse thing is that Bellomy Research Call Center does not have any benefit packages.
Not very good benefits. Health and dental are expensive. No maternity leave. No retirement savings offered.
Do not offer benefits for part time employees
They offer health benefits and insurance but no retirement savings plan.
