Benefits are competitive to market, but expectations are for High Performance leaders. Difficult to attract the level of talent needed at the operations level with only mid-level benefits.
Bemis Co-Ops receive most of the same benefits as salaried employees. It's pretty cool that we are treated the same way as a full-time salaried engineer would be.

Bemis' benefits package is very good for health, but over the years they took away retirement, and replaced with a 401k, which they did match a portion of. But still their benefits were better than most I have seen or heard of.
Worst thing is the medical due to only having no options. It is either yes to get it or no. It is a PPO program and if you don't like what they offer, then you have no other option. Past employer had options.
The healthcare is pretty good but seems to get worse every year. I get 3 weeks vacation. The 401k match is 3% and the profit sharing is 2-5% which is paid into your 401k.
Pros: PTO, paid sick time, holidays off, decent healthcare. Cons: the 401k was only available in Bemis stock. No thanks!
