401k contributions start one year after working with the hospital. Overall, the medical and disability benefits are pretty good.
Best Health Insurance and dependent care
Health insurance, 401K, paid time off, vision/dental, all the typical things you would expect from a large company like BIDMC.
very good and competitive dental insurance. Others are pretty standard. Overall, expansive list of options to choose from
Medical and dental insurance is quite expensive with poor coverage options
Very high deductible health insurance plans
The only good thing about benefits is the health insurance. They tell you that you get 27 days of earned time off but they don't tell you that the holidays and sick leaves are also deducted from these 27 days. So basically you get 17 for sick and vacation time. The tuition reimbursement is also a big joke! you get 1500$ per year and you can only use it for a degree program. Not certificates or online courses, so basically you have to enroll in a program that costs at least 30,000 per year in order to get a 1,500 per year reimbursement from BIDMC. All the members of the Harvard Pilgrim Health Insurance network get 150$ reimbursement for fitness but the BIDMC employees don't because the hospital has a tiny gym which is more expensive to join than most of the other gyms. You also get 6 weeks of maternity and there is no subsidy for daycare or childcare. Most of the other hospitals have an onsite daycare or have contracts with daycare in the area to give their employees special rates.
Great Health Insurance and tuition assistance.
health insurance, maternity leave, vacation, time off, flexible schedule
Excellent health and insurance coverage. Excellent potential opportunity to get a 5.00 RED SOX TICKET after the first inning of home games.
