Taking sick days almost always forces some one else to work over time

    Great sick policy for employees

Paid sick days and personal days to make up for having to work holidays. It is difficult for a manager to take a sick day, though because it often means the other manager that works that day has to work an open to close.

best thing even if your a part timer u get sick pay ( basically if you call out you still get pain even tho your not there) bad thing is if u don't use your sick hours they disappear you can't save them for the next year

Only a small fraction of managers will give you a hard time about it, everybody else doesn't.

Sick pay is provided for full time staff however as a manager it is very difficult to actually use this time. In order to be "sick" you have to personally call the District manager and convince him you need to take the day off. Usually a manager ends up working at least half their shift before being able to go home (regardless of the level of illness).

They are pretty understanding should you call in sick on short-notice.
