Most people are able to work from home occasionally if previously agreed upon with their managers. Some groups have WFH Fridays where most people do. It depends on your role and manager.
While the foundation does provide the means to work from home, depending on what team you are on, working from home can either be embraced or frowned upon. Often the type of work is defined by ROLE as well, so even if your team supports working from home, if you are in a role that has more onsite demands, then working from home is nearly impossible. Which stinks since the Mercer St. corridor/area is horrible.
