There was no time to take any vacations due to heavy work load

An accrual system that worked in every way to you disadvantage.
10 paid days off.
We had 9 paid days off. Vacation/sick days based on years of employment. After 7 years I was maxed out at 21 days per year combined sick days/vacation days. Additional days off could be taken unpaid. However, I was frequently required to travel on weekends for hearing appearances on Mondays or Fridays and there was no comp time offered.
