Great Health Insurance, Awesome 401k, and I love the 9/80 schedule option
Fixed vacation time but sick time as needed for salaried employees. Includes generous dependent care as well.
The benefits are very good and there are many kinds to choose from including vision, dental, health, legal and retirement plans.
Good Insurance plans, flexible spending accounts. Not great vacation plan. Very few additional perks.
They pile on responsibility and/or promote you, but without a pay increase, then say you have to prove yourself for up to 6 months in the position in order to get the higher pay. Then after a year and a half, no pay increase except for the standard less than cost of living raise each year, they keep adding to responsibility, with the same speach. All the while a younger person gets special treatment and better pay for the things you are doing.
Had a flexible schedule including 9/80. Could work remotely if you were the right person in the right job.
Average/good benefits at BV. Great wellness program to support a healthy lifestyle.
Great vacation and sick leave. Incredible vision, dental, and health insurance. I’m very grateful. Everything about black and Veatch is amazing. Best company in the world
Great vacation and 401k
You start out as a contract to hire employee with hardly any benefits. No vacation, no holiday pay, and it is stated that you are going to be contracted for a year, but that is really up to the discretion of the manager you are talking with. I saw people get hired immediately or very quickly in less than a year during "hiring freezes" and I was never converted over, which is one of the reasons I left. On my way out the door of course it was mentioned that I could get rolled over but that was too late at that point. I saw too many people get special treatment, which seemed more like a popularity contest than anything involved with skill set or work ethic.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
