All eligible employees may choose one of Blackboard’s three health plan options (each option includes
prescription drug coverage). Each plan covers 100% of eligible in-network preventive care and covers the same services. The plans vary when it comes to your contributions, how you pay for your share of the cost of care and the opportunity to save for future medical expenses.
It's about the going rate these days
These are high deductible health care plans. Middle of the road. I would rather pay a higher premium for better coverage personally.
Decent, but the high deductible plan ends up costing more out of pocket. They offer an HSA with immediate funding to make up some of the difference, but in the end still costs more out of pocket.
The health insurance is very expensive and not a great coverage.
High deductible, not good if relying on expensive maintenance medication, and administered by a 3rd party.

HSA only as of 2018. Pricing of HSA tiers vs old non-HSA tiers were comparable enough for single or couples, but is worse for families. Switching doctor to HSA was ok - I only go a few times a year.
The costs continue to skyrocket, but this is not entirely Blackboards fault.
