Great benefits and work life balance!
The offer great benefits to their employees.
Three weeks vacation, 8 sick days and 10 vacation days right off the bat. Very unusual for new employees. Great work life balance and flexible schedules in many departments
Extremely low premiums for the offered health insurance for great plans, 401k match is great, and the paid time off when initially hired is more than I've seen offer at any other company.
For a non-profit, they offered Excellent paid time off (vacation, sick, personal, holidays, etc.). Good 401k match. Annual bonus was tied to company's performance.
We don't exactly get a discount on our health insurance. But we do need to participate in activities to get $600 credits towards our health insurance that will be taxed on our paycheck. There are many other benefits that BCBSMA has to offer; example: MBTA/Parking benefits, Gym membership credits, acupuncture/massage credits, weight loss credit, etc.
Recent policy change prohibits carrying PTO over into the next year, but availability to use time is limited.
Best thing is the 401k match. Worst thing is annual pay increases which are lower than the increase to insurance premiums. Working for a health insurance company should provide lower costs but plans with lower cost have big deductibles and coinsurance/copays. Some customers have better benefits!
The best thing about the benefits package is the use of fitness to incentivize the employees. other things were good too
Very generous benefit package includes PTO, LTD and STD Tuition reimbursement and back up child care benefits
