Supporting our people as we extend the period of remote work

As we’ve navigated the last year and a half, prioritizing our employees’ health and wellbeing has been a guiding principle in our decision-making—and it continues to be our top priority. Given the pervasiveness of the Delta variant, we’ve made the decision to delay the return to offices through the first quarter of 2022.

We understand that the continued unpredictability of the pandemic takes a toll on people and we want to support you as best we can. To combat organizational fatigue, we are pleased to extend some of the benefits already in place and adopt new ones. We are:

  • Extending "Friday hours" - This means that Friday workdays—year-round—end at 2 p.m.
  • Permanently adopting meeting guidelines - This means we will continue to respect “quiet” hours and avoid scheduling meetings before 9 a.m., during the lunch hour, and after 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and after 12 p.m. on Fridays.
  • Additional paid days off to round out a full week off during Thanksgiving week (November 22 - 26, 2021), without having to use your accrued paid time off.

Pro: The company is working on implementing progressive benefits. Con: Unfortunately, the executive team is more progressive then the directors, but the directors have ultimate say on what employees are allowed to do. So you may end up working for a director who doesn't implement the progressive benefits.
