    Time off: 3 months paternity leave, 4 week sabbaticals every 5 years, 10 holidays per year, 28 PTO days per year after enough years (start out with 20).

    Best: work life balance . Worst: maternity leave policy BSC recently changed their maternity and paternity policies (3 months fully paid). This is at par for paternity, but still behind not only the Bay area, but the national trend in most industries. In addition to being at the low end of a large company for time off, we really offer no additional perks. For comparison - Salesforce 26 weeks, Pinterest, Amazon, facebook, google, genentech, all 16+ and then perks like baby bonuses, discounts on child care, etc. Our policy is more at par with startups.... not other larger companies. Disappointing that this is the second time in recent years is been changed, and still lags behind the trends, especially for such an important time in an employee,' life.
