There weren't any part-time benefits at first, but options were provided after a certain amount of time

Pros: 1. The employee discount is awesome 2. Amazing work environment Cons: 1. Too much pressure on Magazines for Millionaires (don't agree with the program at all) 2. Too much pressure on Discount Cards 3. Hours at this location were disbursed based on ability to sell/not sell 4. Lack of training 5. Books-A-Million says that customer service is their #1 priority, yet there are scams like the MFM program

The worst thing was the pressure of selling membership cards

As a part-time associate, I did not receive any full-time benefits, as far as I can recall. However, the sales commission, although quite low, really added up on weeks that I performed particularly well in sales. I'd say the in-store discounts on pay days (I think about 30%) were pretty sweet!

Great insurance! 1 free teeth cleaning a year and only a $50 copay on anything else. The company does not match what you put in for 401K though.

401k, Vacation, Health, Dental, Vision, Store Discount, Book Checkout. Most benefits full time only.

No benefits, no appreciation for work done well, poor pay, and no corporate organization

Best- 30% discount on merchandise. Worst-You're only offered benefits if you're a full-time employee. They try to not have full-time employees to keep from offering benefits.
