Boys and Girls Club of America offers 401k, life insurance, health insurance, vision and dental to full time employees only. The boys and girls club I worked at only had 4 fulltime employees in the entire city - including myself

The benefits allowance offered is a nice bonus. However, it isn’t a game changer. It’s not something that would keep someone on the job.

As YDP staff, you don't necessarily get benefits, but you don't expect any either. I believe the experience of getting to work with the students and actually make an impact is rewarding in itself.
