“Working from home helps when you are a stay at home parent and want to contribute or a student. You can choose your own hours and take on a workload you can manage. There are many negatives about the way they treat their tutors, students want you to pretty much rewrite their papers and will complain no matter how good you review their papers, you are only allowed so much time to review a paper. It is very difficult to earn $12 an hour with the work needed to review some papers. You can average maybe $7 an hour. You have to be a very fast reader, not be that thorough on review, and type up a fast review to get $10 an hour. Sorry but it is difficult to read a 6-9 page paper in 30 minutes along with placing review comments the paper then type up a thorough review with examples in formatting with how to improve everything.”
