Brock & Scott, PLLC offers an attractive benefit package to full-time employees after the 90-day introductory period. The insurance portion includes medical, dental, voluntary life, voluntary vision, accident and critical illness, all at competitive rates. The Firm also provides a $25k basic life insurance policy at no cost.
Full-time employees receive paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, and accrue paid time off equal to 2 weeks during a full calendar year. This increases after 2 years, and again after 5 years of employment. After 6 months of employment, full-time employees over age 21 become eligible to enroll in our 401k plan with Mass Mutual.
They offer paid time off and Bereavement. Very flexible on how you would like to use your paid time off as well.
Competitive Benefits! Company actually decreased employee's health insurance costs for single and single parent with child coverages.
Takes 90 days before they're available to you and are on the more expensive side. They recently implemented a 401k plan but it is too low to really invest in. PTO was actually pretty good and you could use a text in line to just let them know if you'll be late or calling in. The holidays were only paid if you did not call out sick the day before or after a holiday, if you did then you lost the holiday pay and had to use your PTO to cover both the day you called out and the holiday.
Out of state insurance unless you are located in North Carolina, high deductibles ($50 - $125) with high premiums. Low PTO accrual until you reach several years with the company. Basic Holidays off (Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). No 401(k) matching.
They just started a new 401k match and it is wonderful. The have decent insurance, but the copays are a little high. They have a free life insurance policy and you have the option to add additional accident insurance and life insurance to it. The dental, vision, additional life and accident insurance are pretty low cost.
The cost . We are fortunate that we are offered several plans ! Stop complaining or leave! BCBS is great .
The PTO is good. The cost for health benefits is too high. They need to find a way to lower it.
No best only worst. The insurance is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and not Florida where we work at. The insurance is expensive and barely covers anything. $35 deductible to see a doctor and $75 for specialists. The insurance does not cover much of anything. You end up paying a lot of pocket. The vision insurance is a joke. You have to pay out of pocket and then fill out a form to receive a reimbursement. No matching of 401K. PTO is a joke as well you get 2 weeks off but it also includes your sick time. They no longer give you the day after Thanksgiving off and Christmas eve as they turned those 2 days into floater holidays and made it seem like it was more beneficial. Which it was not because now you have to coordinate with you partner to see who gets which day because one person has to be at work. But Brock and Scott sent the notification email out with the subject line of "Great News" lol. Like we are idiots.
Time off is given to employee's right away to use, however an employee is judged for using it at all.
No 401k match, need more PTO days to cover sick days and vacation days. Better pay. Lower insurance premiums.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
