Pension Plan (two options) is excellent

Pension plan is weak. Barely make any money for retirement. Investment plan is better but you need to be aware of your own investments.

Broward Schools really provides you with the tools necessary to put away for tomorrow, when put to use, it can really make a difference down the line.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Substitute Teacher in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I'm speaking for my own position, covering Substitute Teachers, employer contribution is extremely minimal--peanuts.

Best- there is one. Worse - It is mediocre. You will retire poor. No 401 K. you better have a plan B. Too many retired teachers have to come out of retirement to work because they cannot survive comfortably on the pension they receive. It is sad actually and scary to boot. This company should revamp their plan and offer a better plan for its veterans.
