Its basic not that much personalized so does not help a lot
They train you in a classroom about everything, but when you get into the field it is all different.
It really depends. For merchandise we are trained the basics of money and conduct in a group and we tour the park. Then personally, on my first day of work on location I was kind of thrown out a lone, but it was slow and the job was just selling easy priced items.
They didn't really train me, just stuck me with another person for 2 or 3 days and told me to learn by watching/just doing. Nothing was explained to me and when it came time for me to do it alone I was not much help to customers and no one was there to help me. There are a lot of things to know about the job that should have been explained/went more in depth with. (Especially the ADD wrist band and customer discounts/offers, etc)
They put their best employees on the training duty. Best people for the job.
Training was really short. I heard that in the past they used to take more time when they trained you but now they have to cut it short because they had to cut back on labor hours.
Pretty thorough. Very rare that you will come across a situation that you weren't prepared for.
