Decent overall, but somewhat on the low end for top-tier tech companies. Benefits are improving slowly but steadily throughout the company to compete so that's something to look forwards to. I think the parent company underestimated the extent to which the market shifted towards the work office as surrogate daycare for adult children so lots of nice benefits are missing even if the primary aspects are present. Biggest issue is lackluster 401k plan and insurance that is subpar compared to peer companies. That being said, the benefits are still _very_ good compared to the national US average. They only struggle when compared against peer companies.

ByteDance provides very good benefit programs which can be comparable with first tier internet companies in the bay area

Food is good, and my mentor is super patient.

You get a bunch of PTO Paid Sick Leave and 4 Floating Holidays. They roll over so if you accrue it all you can take a sweet vacation a year out. We also get $45 a day for a food stipend but this might go away when we go back into office.
