have a decent 401k package
The benefits package at C2 Education for PT workers is non-existent.
I didn't get any benefits because I was part time. They purposely hire part time to limit benefits. For example, they hired someone else even though I was eligible to work full time.
401K up to 4%, no cap on bonuses, medical and dental but no vision
Overall C2 really cares about their employees and seems to take on a lot more than other employers.
There isn't one. Just an hourly salary, no sick days, no vacation, and certainly no medical. Supposedly I am entitled to a discount on C2 tutoring services should I want one, which I don't, as by virtue of being a C2 tutor I'm obviously long out of high school.
Best thing is if you have children, you get a discount at the learning centers. Vision insurance is not offered and you are not eligible for 401k until after a year of employment. HR has sent out some surveys asking about what we like and don't like so I am hopeful we will see some changes.
Aside from Center Directors, C2 refuses to hire full time talent that would ultimately pay dividends greater than the money they refuse to invest in fair pay or benefits for the very tutors who are the ones that keep the students coming back and the parents happy. For this reason, C2 will never be able to retain the real talent needed to grow their reputation. This is a very cynical approach to HR that shows how little they understand to what degree their success hinges on the quality of their tutors. However, C2 is run by 2 Harvard grads leading me to believe that are smart enough to understand and in fact do, but fundamentally do not care due to a myopia that no level of intelligence can over come sadly. Too bad...
You and pretty much pick and choose your health package. They give you life insurance.
I believe you need to be there for a year in order to apply for their 401k and you only get the major holidays off as vacation
