Seems pretty commensurate with what's expected of the industry (for part-time, on-call teachers/tutors)
5 days PTO first year, and only 4-5 paid holidays.. meaning we have to work Presidents day, MLK day, Christmas Eve and Black Friday. The hours are ridiculous and they do not pay over time or time and a half for working late or working holidays.
Not a real full time job - no benefits.
They have an employee health plan, but that's about it. This is a company built on part time staff perhaps precisely for the reason that they don't have to provide benefits. Taking a vacation costs you double: once for the cost of the vacation itself and once for all the lost wages while you're away.
Keep all employees as part time so company does not need to pay for benefits.
Health insurance and 401K. Only 5 days PTO and I think 2 or 3 sick days.
