UHC's expansive network. They provide incentives based upon the level of the plan you select.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Senior Paralegal in Washington, District of Columbia

Before 2011, The health insurance that was offered was top notch and everything was paid for after a very minimal copay. Since that time, the plans have changed and copays were changed to a deductible plan which then made health care very unaffordable

A $1500 deductable on the gold package is too high. I went 25 years with no deductable and the ACA has spread the costs to consumers.

Cheap for single. Expensive for families. Doesn't cover anything until deductible is met. You'll likely skip doctor visits due to the fact that it's all out of pocket until you've met the few thousand dollar deductible if you are on the lower plans.

Comparable to other contractors at MacDill.

High cost premiums and higher co-pays

The benefits are fair ($$$), there are many, many options to choose from.

  • Aug 05, 2017
StarStarStarStarStar Current Software Quality Engineer 3 in Chantilly, Virginia

Spiraling downward, poorly administered, recently fired Kaiser Permanente creating a Monopoly for United Healthcare (UHC) unfortunately and regretfully these consistent vital decisions are evidence that continue to further demonstrate Upper Management's realtime situational ignorance.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Law Clerk in Washington, District of Columbia

Good plans. If you have outside insurance they give you an increase in your hourly pay
