Eye care plan isn’t great
Highly competitive benefits. 6% matching 401k. Bonus based on company performance. Good health care, dental and vision
Company matched 401K plans, good vacation/time off benefits
CAT benefits seem to be competitive with other large companies in all avenues. In other words, it typically doesn't get much better..
Overall, an excellent benefits package. However, that's about the only thing Cat Financial has going for it. The rest... meh.
Great benefits. 6% 401k match, with additional 3, 4, or 5% depending on age/years of service. 3 weeks vacation to start, up to 4 after 5 years. 10 weeks 100% paid maternity leave, 4 weeks 100% paternity leave. Health insurance premiums as low as $70/mo for family
401K is very good compared to other companies rising cost of healthcare and less coverage
There are PLENTY of benefit perks at Caterpillar Financial. The main drawback is there's no commitment to working from home. As of right now, it's only an ad hoc policy in place. For ex., Comcast is supposed to be installing cable between 8-12pm, so depending on your Manager, they may approve for you to work from home during those hours. Most of the positions can be done from home, but our Executive team is comprised of seasoned Caucasian males who believe that everyone should be in the office at all times. The incoming President has said that he didn't wait 15 years to get his new role for everyone to start working from home, leaving him in the office by himself. Another perk is we were just approved to wear jeans on Friday after battling with the outgoing President for more than 10 years about it. Sabbaticals aren't common, but we've approved them in the past. For ex., one young lady took a sabbatical (termed Personal Leave) in 2015 to "find herself" in a foreign country. Also, there's a cafeteria on-site & food trucks usually come in bi-annually for certain events. Drawbacks: Lack of racial diversity in Leadership roles (less than 8% are people of color). Diversity at this company = years of experience/whether or not your Father worked for the company, so there's no true "diversity" here. We've only begun to hire women in various leadership roles as a result of a female Junior Level Manager that moved here from Texas (2014-15). She's awesome by the way. Medical/Dental/Vision has skyrocketed in the last 2 years. For ex., coverage for a family of 4 is $280/mo + $140 (spousal surcharge) if your spouse opts out of their company's coverage.
matching 401k. The gym was also a nice perk. 100% up to 6% of the 401k was matched. CAT paid for a significant portion of my MBA.
The best thing is a combination of the 401k match and the annual 401k payment made based on the prior year compensation.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
