Eligibility

Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for all of the benefits outlined. Spouses and dependents under the age of 26 are eligible for medical dental, vision, volutnatry life, critcal illiness and accident plans.

Employees are eligible to enroll in benefits on their first day of employment with CECO Environmental with no waiting period.

    BEST: Benefit Package is quite good compared to peers, CECO pays a large part of the medical, pays all of STD, LTD and Life & AD& D costs and immediate vesting and employer match for the 401(k). WORST: Vacation and PTO are limited and not best practice. The company is more concerned with the amount of money carried on the books and payout at termination rather than keeping and attracting talent with only 10 days vacation. Word to the wise NEGOTIATE your vacation in your offer or look elsewhere for employment.

    Insurance is expensive but it is a good plan. 401k is okay, nothing spectacular. Vacation packages are horrible.

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I'm sorry you feel the way you do. As benefits cost continue to rise in the US, our CECO leadership team is committed to absorbing those costs with out passing on a significant burden to the employee. In fact CECO contributes more than 79% of the actual cost of Medical Insurance which is extremely generous compared to other employers. With regard to 401K - CECO's employer match is 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 3% employee deferral for a maximum match of 4.5%. This is very competitive as other employees continue to offer less. In addition vesting is immediate at 100% verses waiting up to 3 years for the employer match to vest. With regard to vacation, CECO offers a competitive vacation and sick time plan. Some employers choose to bundle Vacation and Sick Time together calling it PTO. Comparing apples to apples CECO is competitive within the market. In addition CECO offers 1 additional vacation day at each anniversary rather than waiting to receive an additional week of vacation at the 5/10/15 year anniversaries.

    Good insurance, salrary not the best

We made a conscious decision in 2018 to add a compensation / benefits analyst to our CECO HR team who will be doing an extensive evaluation of our packages in comparison to the markets we serve and other employers in the area and industry.

    The 401K is good. The time off is standard but does not role over year to year. The health care is so expensive it is laughable

When an employers contribution is greater than 75% vs an employees it certainly demonstrates that CECO values their employees. The rising cost of benefits is not a laughing mater and we take this responsibility seriously.
