All the perks are great and helpful. They have stocks and will match with you dollar for dollar.
There is a match on 401K, but it's low. And there is an annual bonus, but it's not based on employee work, it's based off of Sr. Management projections of company growth. Work can be great, but if Sr Management doesn't add a new contract win, bonuses are low (or non-existant.)
High deductible medical plan that caps out of pocket expenses plus CGI provides and contributes to employee HSAs. One big benefit is the share purchase plan in which you purchase shares in CGI stock (up to 3%) and CGI matches those shares. I would like to see a better match on the company 401k which would promote employees to save for retirement.
Dental provider coverage is limited. Share purchase plan is great to have.
Provides high deductible health insurance. Rest of the benefits are better than many other companies.
The salary was above what I anticipated. They have a high deductible plan and an optional HSA which they will contribute to. Flex and comp time are amazing. 401K matching, vested at 50% after 1 year and 100% after 2 years.
They have really good health care, dental and vision benefits. You are also able to buy CGI stocks. The stocks are great!
CGI has a good Employee stock purchase plan. While working fulltime we had the benefit to purchase CGI shares thereby owning a part of the company and they would match up your contribution upto a certain percentage. Good benefits.
Worst thing is the high deductible health insurance (HDHP) which discourages you to seek medical care. So, when you or your family have some health symptoms and are not sure about how urgent it is, you become mentally stressed to make a decision whether to bet on an urgent care/emergency visit or not. A mental torture: If you go emergency and it turns out not serious you pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for nothing. If you think that it is a non-urgent situation and decide not to visit emergency you risk your life if you made a wrong call. There is no option of non-HDHP insurance. Worst decision of CGI to have limited options.
Awful you get 1 hour per check
