During maternity leave, you take short term disability for the first 6 weeks and then use PTO for the remainder. This seems good until you realize it only pays a small portion of your normal pay and the first week is not included in STD.
You get your full maternity time off up to 12 weeks, your co-pay to have a simple birth is well over $1000.00$
None of my coworkers were pregnant or had a baby during that time. I was not pregnant nor had to deliver a baby during the time i worked there so I'm not quite sure how their maternity leave was. But I'm sure they have one.
It's super expensive to have a baby with ins research
They need to offer better coverage.
