The benefit package is pretty amazing overall. You get your choice of a "cadillac" health plan, full vision, and dental for less than $150/month for a family. Also there are long term disability plans, and college fee-waiver (up to 6 units free per semester at a CSU for you, your spouse, or children). The CalPERS retirement is tough to beat. When you retire you get to continue on with the low cost health and benefits plan.

No benefits for interns, but for full-time employees benefits are likely to be attractive.

Compensation was either on a tuition reimbursement basis or not at all. This was for administrative and academic experience overall.
