The benefit package is pretty amazing overall. You get your choice of a "cadillac" health plan, full vision, and dental for less than $150/month for a family. Also there are long term disability plans, and college fee-waiver (up to 6 units free per semester at a CSU for you, your spouse, or children). The CalPERS retirement is tough to beat. When you retire you get to continue on with the low cost health and benefits plan.
No benefits for interns, but for full-time employees benefits are likely to be attractive.
The pay is not the best in comparison to the California Community College system.
Great 401K and vacation days
I work as a student assistant part time so there was no benefits for me.
Compensation was either on a tuition reimbursement basis or not at all. This was for administrative and academic experience overall.
Time off is very good
No benefits except free summer membership if you work over summer.
none. Its part time work perfect for a full time college student.
While employees do pay for a share of their benefits, the share is reasonable. While staff salaries are very low, the benefit package is good.
